I went with this case because I was breaking clips off the detachable types. This has a trraditional belt clip that will "hang" on a belt or pocket. It is a snug fit with my thin plastic cover installed on the Treo 700p. I wrapped the treo in shrink wrap an forced it in to stretch out the case a bit for easier removal, worked fine. Stays on while running, but has come off in the car when sitting down. Cover flap clasp is magnetic with a center hole/pin, not an easy closure every time, but is fine once I stretched it out. Keep in mind, I have the thin (1.25MM)plastic case on the Palm as well, without that case the fit is fine. Best I've tried, Its a keeper!!

I have to say that I really do like the magnetic clip part of the pouch. Previously, I had only used the pouches that came with the Treo (the one with the snap to shut it). The problem is that it broke within three weeks.

I bought this case a few weeks back and have since used it pretty much every day. I haven't used it in any odd way, just hang it on my belt all day. The problem is that after about 10 days, the clip part started to split. I guess that it wasn't strong enough to hold when I was just sitting down. After another few weeks, the clip broke all together. So, now, there is no way to hang it from my belt.

I would defintely not buy this product again.

This is a really nice well made case. The bad is there are no openings for charging or the headset so you have to remove the device almost completely to charge or listen to music thereby risking damage to the unit. I am going to try to locate a leather punch which should solve the problem. I just can't believe that Prima would design such a nice case but then leave out such an important aspect in design. I may call them and maybe they can fix this flaw in their next shipments. It is a nice well made case and if you are willing to either live with the problem or fix it yourself you will have a nice case. One other strange thing they did is offer the red case with a clip but no clip for the black which I have. I never use a clip myself but I am mentioning this as it could be a problem for some of you.

After buying several cases for my iPhone, I found this one more option at Amazon. At the beginning I thought that the design was good, but when I received the case, simply the stuff did not meet the basic expectations. Do not get me wrong. The skin is high quality, some features like the locking button at the bottom is an improvement over the best case I've tried (The one called the dockable from Sena). The implementation of the design is so poor that the holes in the case do not correspond to the ones on the phone. The end result, you can not use the headphones, you can not plug it to be charged, the phone shoots off because the pressure is so strong on the power on button that it just can not resist. One nice way to trow your money into the sewer. Helio.

"Great Protection for Iphone" 2009-04-22

I like this case ESPECIALLY because it isn't upside down like other Iphone cases. What I mean is that the case cover flips up instead of down, which leaves the charging opening at the bottom of the case instead of in the middle. It seems more secure in this case and it is much easier to attach the charger with this design. Good looking case, too! The red is great for me because it's easier to see in my purse.

"Frustrating to use - not well designed for iPhone" 2008-04-03

From the 5-star review already posted here, I can only assume that this case was originally designed for another device, and was adapted for use with the iPhone. Note that the product photo only shows you one angle, from the front. The hole in the back for the camera does not line up, so you have to take the phone out to use the camera if you do not want the lens/picture occluded.

The earphone jack doesn't line up, so I have to open the lid to use it - nullifying the reason for getting a case with a flap - to protect the breakable glass.

The side cut-out where the volume switch is - CONSTANTLY gets stuck on the switch, so that the leather is holding down the volume-up button. I have removed the phone and even used an Emery board on the inside of the case to wear it down a little to get the phone in there deeper, but it doesn't help.

The top flap near the ear-hole where you can hold the phone to your ear covers the proximity sensor - so when I make a call, even though I'm using my bluetooth earpiece and not holding the phone to my ear, I have to pull the phone slightly out of the case so the screen doesn't go black.

There are other cases out there with flaps, but they use magnets. I chose this case because it has a real snap in lieu of magnets - but the snap is magnetized! And, for no apparent reason. I do not want strong magnets near my electronics!

The case is beautiful and I get compliments on it all the time, but I tell everyone I know not to get one because of the frustrations I cited above. My favorite brand of cases is inCase, but they have not made a model w/ a flap to protect the glass from breaking, which is why I searched and searched to find a case like this one. The concept is great, but the delivery is poor. Despite the beautiful red leather, the dye-cut-outs simply were not executed well, so nothing fits right. I don't dare cut bigger holes, because I don't have the equipment or knowledge to stitch into leather this thick to reinforce those holes - nor should I have to be a tailor for a case billed as an iPhone case. It simply is only a close fit, but no cigar. I don't hate the case, but as soon as I find a worthy replacement, I will never use it again. If I had had it as a perfect-fit case for another device and chose to use it for my iPhone, I'd have a different attitude about it - but since it was marketed (here, anyway) as an iPhone case, but clearly misses the mark BIG TIME on fitting the phone, I can only say - DO NOT BUY THIS CASE if you have an iPhone... it will only frustrate you. It frustrates me to no end, every time I use my phone. The point of the case is to keep it in the case - if I have to take it out of the case to use it, making it vulnerable to damage, it negates the need for the case in the first place.

I have been looking for a case for my NX80V for about a year that made it easy to use and to protect as much as possible if dropped. Finally, I found this case on Amazon. It is a very tight fit---which is good. It just takes being very careful as you insert the PDA into the case. Once on, the case permits easy use and easy placement on its stand as shown in the photo. Also, it is an easy fit into and out of most suit coat pockets. It is a great example of excellent design and excellent manufacture. Thank you Bellagio.

Prima is a good company and this is a good case, though it's not quite perfect. While the fit is quite exact, I find it's not quite as snug as I would like, which makes it pretty easy for dust and debris to get into the case. For example, the edges can flip up as I'm stowing my touch in my pocket, letting crud get trapped between the case and the iPod, which can't be good for the finish.

I also found that while the silicone texture provides excellent grip, that same grip creates a lot of friction when trying to slip my iPod into a pocket or tight space. So your precious iPod will be less likely to slip from your fingers, but it's also harder to access, which I think is not a good trade-off because the iPod touch can't really be operated without holding and seeing it (i.e., you can't easily change the volume or skip a track while it's in your pocket), so I'm always putting it away and retrieving it.

In the end I opted for a clear hard case from another maker.

The Intuos A5 (or SE6x11 if you're in the US) is the right size for a desk. Quality is the usual Wacom, and the finish on the special edition is just great. I have had it for a couple of years, and it simply doesn't age.

I know many people try to find a Wacom tablet that most closely matches the aspect ratio of their monitor. This is because they are annoyed by the fact that the strokes become stretched on screen.

Getting a tablet that matches your monitor will alleviate this however there is another way which is built into the Wacom software. Look under the mapping tab and click the checkbox that says "constrain proportions".

Voila!

(The bigger the difference between aspect ratios, the lower your accuracy may become on the stretched dimension but it is a small price to pay for stroke accuracy)

"Best thing to happen to the field of graphic design" 2008-03-04

The Intuos3 SE version is just as good as any Intuos3 of the same dimention, only to me I really enjoy the color scheme of a slightly glittery black design. Also, I like that it comes with an extra pen; the classic pen doesn't have a rubber grip on it and is thinner. Personally I prefer using this one because it feels as natural as handling a common pen, and is easier to clean, doesn't get sticky.

The package also comes with a 'professional accessory kit', mostly consisting of different types of nibs. I really don't know when I'll be using these because I haven't had a tablet long enough that it would wearout the nibs, but it's conforting to know that I have back-up. The package also comes with an extra transparent overlay, so when the one that's already on the tablet is scratched up enough, I know there's a replacement. So basically if you get the Special Edition, you'll be covered for everything, at least for as long as the replacements last.

The 6 x 11 inch dimensions are perfect for my 1280 x 800 pixel screen. Up until I bought this, I used a 6 x 8 at my school so I can tell the difference; I feel I have more control over sideways motions. Although, considering that the active area on the tablet itself is slightly wider in proportion than my screen, you'd think that tracing around a circular object and drawing a circle would cause the circle to become slightly wide in the drawing, but it's directly the opposite; the circule is streched vertically. It appears that there's extra room on the margins of the active area that would go beyond the dimensions of the screen. Just some minor detail, but it should help illustrate what it's like to use one of these.

Overall, I'm greatly satisfied with this product. I haven't used my mouse since I got this tablet, and it's certainly made graphic designing and illustrations easier to accomplish.

I had used a Wacom Graphire for years to replace a mouse, as using a pen is a lot more ergonomically comfortable than a mouse. When I upgraded to a 24" iMac a Graphire would no longer cut it. The screen resolution was just too high and the screen itself just too big. There was no accuracy, keeping in mind this was an old 4x5 tablet but I just couldn't afford a bigger Intuos.

I bought an Intuos 6x8 from a local retailer and it was fine on my widescreen iMac but noticed I could purchase a widescreen model. After much research I really couldn't find people that had used both to see if there was a huge difference. Well I ended up returning my 6x8 and using this 6x11 wide model. People that use the 6x8 with a widescreen display are very content, but I have used both and feel that the 6x11 widescreen model gives me just that extra bit of accuracy. The proportions match and to me, that was enough.

I also want to point out that the 6x8 retail is $369 while the Special Edition (the one I purchased) is $399. Both would include tax purchasing from a retailer. I got my 6x11 Special Edition on Amazon for $369 shipped, no tax. Amazon is the only online retailer that sells the Special Edition on sale (one other sells them but at full price). And the Special Edition not only comes with all of the extras, it is a very elegant black color as opposed to the normal grey.

I am very happy with my purchase, and hope that this helps you with your purchasing decision!

I still love my tablet. Just today I ordered an Intuos3 Pen Stand direct from Wacom to accommodate my "Standard Pen" (the unit ships with 2 pens but only one holder). If you want to order this item it does not currently show on their website but the item number is #PSTA034 and you can order it by calling 800-922-6613 option 5 ($9.95 btw with free ground shipping). They may have added this item to the order page now, as they were very surprised it was not already there. I had to get this item number from their customer service emails which, normally terrible (with over online retailers), was surprisingly pleasant. Both over email AND on the phone.

I have also ordered the Wacom Intuos3 Airbrush pen today. I think that, although it's upwards of $100 I can justify the $100 price tag.

I did order the ZP400E. I could not find a difference between the ZP400E and the GP400E listed on the Wacom website. Check back on the "ZP" airbrush page of Amazon for my reviews.

Do you like to occasionally listen to the radio between mp3's? I was sure i would, so i bought the ARCHOS FM thingy. I'd probably tell you how crystal clear the radio is...if i could get reception. I have MADE my own radios that get better signal than this thing. I turned on my clock radio next to my bed to 106.9, and it comes in clear as a bell, wherin, the ARchos fm thing doesn't pick up the station AT ALL!!! WTF!? I didn't test it for a voice recorder, but honestly, i don't think you are buying it for that purpose.

Wanted the FM listen/record for my archos 5. First one i got would only play in one ear on my headphones and only could get both ears if you play around and half plug it in but the sound quality dropped.

Quickly Amazon sent me a replacement (great by the way) and the new one did the same thing. Anyone else have this problem? Everything else seemed to work on both.

I tried different headphones and still didn't work. I wish they added it internally and not a external.

I'll wait until someone says it works...

However, after only using it for a few days, it became static and finally stopped working. Now it rather freezes the whole Archos if I hook it up. It was a waste of money. It has been a month or so now; therefore, I am wondering if it's worth sending it back. I just hate all the hassel. I shouldn't have bought it in the first place.

The FM Remote for the Archos Internet Media Tablets *appears* to be a slick, stylish and handy little accessory for your media player with multiple useful functions.

The one important factor that I wish had been truthfully advertised is that the remote is actually INcompatible with the Archos 7, despite its claims to be for the 5 and the 7. Thus, the device I purchased is quite useless to me, thanks to the deception in advertisement.

A word to the wise, for other present and future owners of the Archos 7, I have also found this disappointing phenomenon to be true of other Archos accessories misleadingly billed as working with both models, and I hope you get more response from their tech support than I have on this issue.

The review is more for Amazon and UPS. The pen itself is 5 stars as I've used it before. But where on earth is my order? First I ordered the other classic platinum pen. That took ages to ship out and therefore I canceled the ordered and bought this one. It shipped out 2 days after. I've used their super saver shipping before but honestly it's really slow now. Why not simply use USPS instead for small orders like these?

While I really want an explanation why they are using UPS and also why they report a shipment is out for delivery since 7:42am but is STILL rescheduled for next day, I'm not optimistic I'll get an answer. I needed this pen a while ago and was skeptical of the overnight shipping from amazon (bad experience) but now their super saver is slacking off as well.

I'll reconsider ordering from amazon again for time sensitive items until such shipping issues are resolved.

I got this pen because it is thinner and also slightly lighter than the grip pen. The pen works great!

The reason for the 4 star is because the color looks transparent red in the picture and what I received was a non-transparent dull brownish color pen so it is definitely less attractive than what it looks like on the picture. Also because I kind of miss the grip rubber feel which this one does not have... nonetheless, a great pen :)

"A ridiculous user's manual!!!!!" 2009-03-09

Okay, I am no techie, I admit it, but I do not remember the last time I have witnessed a worse user's manual than the one offered by this LaPazz company, the manufacturers of DNA500 and DLA401 digital note takers. The product itself is okay at best. It is somewhat cumbersome and more complicated to put together compared to similar products but gets the job done in the end. But that user's manual is ridiculously funny. It is written in SUCH broken English that it makes the whole experience both annoying and frustrating, though at times, also funny. I find it hard to fathom that a company that invests so many resources in developing a product would then skimp on technical writing just to save a few yens.

My recommendation - UNLESS you are a very technically minded person, STAY AWAY from this product UNTIL this company finally hires an English speaking technical writer!!

This was my first purchase of a tablet and I have to say, this unit really does the job. It's simple to learn, easy to use and in general makes any art project faster and more fun. Photoshop and Corel Painter X are the perfect combination. I also use Toon Boom, which is for animations (2D) and it works beautifully with this tablet as well.

On thing to remember, the 9x12 is a large unit, so it takes up a reasonable amount of space on your desktop.

Overall, I would highly recommend this product for anyone. Those new to tablets, or even art in general as well as professionals. Using a computer for orginal artwork, always felt a bit off. But now, I feel creative again. It allows me to feel in control of the brush strokes I make, and that...is a wonderful feeling!

Strengths:

Nice 17" monitor and drawing pad. Works well with Corel Draw. I also use it with Myscript notes and Phatware's Penoffice. Especially nice is the video passthrough. The cybertablet works best as a drawing tablet lying flat, but this is not the best position for using it as a monitor. The passthrough allows a separate standing monitor.

Weaknesses:

Absolutely no technical support. In order to use the drawing pad feature the monitor must be set as the primary monitor. Otherwise the pen tracks on whatever other monitor is set as primary and not on the cybertablet. This defeats the purpose of using the cybertablet as a monitor.

Comments:

According to the supplied paper manual it is possible to reassign the pen buttons and the directions are on the emanual on disk. Similarly, if it is necessary to calibrate the pen-monitor tracking, these directions are also available in the emanual. Unfortunately, the emanual is the same manual as the paper manual and no directions are supplied. Also, there are no directions available on the help links at the Adesso web site. Attempts to communicate with adesso help have also proven impossible. Their live chat, 800 help number, help desk and support emails are either disconnected, unavailable links, or unresponsive. My cybertablet is virtually unusable for drawing because the pen tracking is approximately ¼ inch off in parts of the screen and I can't find out how to recalibrate the pen and monitor so that it will track properly.

The device itself will connect, but it has only VGA output - so the screen resolution is not great. Kind of defeats the whole 17 in monitor idea.

Not a Wacom, but it is worth it, work just fine, I only wish i would have more information on the web about calibrating the monitor and advance software to control it and the pen also. Maybe more support from the developers or a fac section or blog or something on the web site.

I still have not calibrate correctly wih the mini software it comes with it, but in fact I get use to work with the pen not well aligned to the mouse pointer. Other thing when you draw, using pens pressure produce lines with a lot of arefacts, neither straight or smooth, so you have to work with a lot of zoom to get it properly well. It is a good cheaper option.

It's pretty much as advertised; it's pretty large, you draw on it, and the display is crisp. There are a few small problems though:

There's a small gap between the glass you write on and the actual screen - somewhere between a third to a fourth of an inch - so when doing really precise actions you might be a little off where you intended to place the cursor if you're viewing the screen at an angle. I'm sure that's a problem with all tablet monitors so that can't be helped, just FYI.

I had a case where I was messing with a non-zoomable canvas and decided to lower the resoloution really low to compensate - which makes the cursor offset quite a bit (like half the cursor's size - which is alot for me at 800x600) off. Not a big problem unless you're trying to get the pen to a very specific spot.

The tablet monitor input on my Vista machine seems to only want to work as my main monitor. Sure, I can make it an extension monitor and it displays fine, but if I try to write on it, it acts as if I was drawing on the main/other screen. So if it's not set as my main monitor, every time I want to use it I have to switch my display settings.

The picture is sharp and the input at high resoloutions is very accurate and responsive. The stand/prop is sturdy but as a tablet monitor with the assumption that you're always looking down to write, there's no way to prop it up like a regular monitor on a flat surface using the built-in stand. Mine didn't come with any dead pixels, so that's always a plus too.

As an Artist and coming of age with the new tools around, the computer was waiting to be the next media. With the Adesso Tablet monitor that you can actualy draw on this was the answer. Looked around on the net to find out what was out there and the others were a bit $$$$ after some thought decided to go with Adesso, arrived easy to plug in and set up and started creating right off the bat, the pen behaves just like your hand to paper, soft, hard, thick, thin and so on.With the money that I saved I loaded my computer up with Corel Painter X, and WOW a full blown studio in my computer. In retrospect, in the future I would order a case that allowed viewing with out removing the Archos 5 from the case as I do most of my viewing on an airplane while traveling back and forth to Asia. That way the case does not get separated from the unit.

Watching movies on the Archos 5 is just sweet -- my Touch goes back to

[...] the following day. Two things I missed, and thus the 4 stars, are:

1) bookmarks are not automatic as in the Touch, it takes 3 taps to set one, 2 taps to resume one

2) playback controls works far better in the Touch

I almost only watch movies on the Archos, so its fantastic 4.8" screen more than makes up for these annoyances.

So far, I love this device. Previously, I owned and used a Microsoft Zune 80GB (the hard drive of which broke) and Sony PSP 1001 (which was getting quite old) regularly. The Zune I used as my media player and the PSP I used as my mobile web browser. I'm happy to say that this device has replaced both and actually offered great improvements. I will list these improvements below:

Music: Zunes are great for music, but they stop short of doing anything wonderful. The Archos 5, however, allows you to do a lot more with your music collection. You can create playlists on the go, a feature missing in most modern MP3 players, and the player has great sound quality. Really, the player does just what it should and does not offer any real hang-ups in between you and listening to your music.

Video: Video on the Archos is stunning. With the massive 4.8" screen, videos are a joy to watch and look wonderful, and look far better than on a Zune or the iPod Touch. The controls of the player allow you to touch and drag the slider at the bottom to move to different parts of the video, and it almost immediately starts playing from that point. There are also options to adjust the play speed of the video and even take a screenshot from the video and apply it as your background. The built in kickstand offers a simple way to watch your media without having to hold the player for an extended period. Archos really exceeds in video, and the Archos 5 is a prime example of their expertise in the field.

Pictures: The Archos 5 has a simple picture viewer that displays all your pictures in thumbnail view and offers several slideshow functions and transitions to view the pictures. Like video, viewing pictures with the Archos is much better than with other players due to the beautiful screen.

Internet: No other pocketable device offers the internet experience that the Archos does. The iPod Touch and iPhone do not offer flash support in their web browsers, so a lot of the media on the web is lost to these devices. The PSP does offer some flash support, but not videos and the support is only minimal. On the Archos, pages load quickly, and flash objects are displayed. On flash heavy websites, there are some issues, such as flash objects that will not load or are slow to initialize. You can watch YouTube and other video sites' videos full screen on the Archos. Still, the ability to view flash videos straight from the browser is a big plus over the iPod Touch, iPhone, and PSP devices.

Extras: The Archos offers something iPods or Zunes do not offer: the ability to be used as a portable hard drive. This feature is something I sorely missed in my Zune, as I would like to carry around some files that I could use anywhere, and my device would be all I needed. This feature is taken one step further with the ability to stream media from your home network to your device or TV. The file browser on the Archos allows you to view files on your computer, or UPnP can be used to view shared files in your Windows Media collection. I prefer the file browser method, but if you like Windows Media a lot (I'm not sure why), the UPnP service is very helpful. Another benefit over Zunes and iPods is the lack of software to install. The fact that you can use it as a hard drive lets you simply drag and drop music and video onto your player without problem, or use Windows Media Player to sync your entire library. Much better than the Zune software or iTunes method, as both are bloatware. Add-ons also allow you to use the Archos as a DVR or a USB host (which allows you to transfer files directly from a device such as a camera to your Archos without a computer) and a lot more.

Now, there are definitely cons to the device:

You have to buy add ons to get full functionality from the device, which is kind of annoying. Plugins are expensive for what they offer.

Without an add on, the charge time via USB is about 8 hours. That is really, really long.

Some websites with flash videos don't work and the videos don't load.

Overall, I love the Archos 5 and I'm glad I chose it over the iPod Touch or some similar overpriced device. The fact that you get 120 GB and a massive screen compared to the iPod Touch's 16GB for about the same price, the choice is clear, the Archos 5 is well worth the money and a smarter buy than the iPod Touch. Note, the device is pretty hefty, but not too bad on size. Also, you can feel the hard drive spin, which is a little disconcerting. And battery life has improved since a lot of people have reviewed, so it's 22 hours audio, 7 hours video, and 4 hours WiFi, which is pretty respectable.

I've been interested in getting an Archos player for a few years and finally broke down and got the Archos 5 media tablet. It's a great little gadget - I travel a lot and to be able to have ALL my music AND movies on one player is great.

-Yes, it holds all your music, say, your I-tunes library, but if you want to PLAY them, you have to buy the add-on.

-Really cool that you can record ANYTHING video onto it, but: First, you need to buy the docking station. Second, I have an issue with the unit overheating regularly which causes it to lock up. -You're recording a 2 hr. movie and after 3/4 of it, the thing overheats and locks up on you. I have to put it in the refrigerator for a few minutes JUST to get it to shut off. THEN you have to let it cool down, delete and start all over again.

I would recommend waiting a few more years for Archos to WORK OUT THESE bugs before purchasing one of these units. Great idea, just not thought out. PLEASE Archos, get it together!

This tablet was a gift for my artistic daughter, age 9. I wanted an entry level item that wouldn't break the bank just in case she abandoned her desire for making art. It was a way to introduce her to the world of computer graphic art. She loved Art Dabbler but I do understand it may have issues with XP and Vista (I was using Win98 at the time). Don't use the bundled software (it's free anyway) and go with a more advanced program. She would also use the Paint program in Windows and I showed her how to use it with Adobe Photoshop and ULead Photo Impact. I found it to be just what I was looking for. Not too much money and she got a lot out of it. Her aspirations for being an artist will have to include an understanding of computer graphics and this tablet helped in this matter. Wacom is definitely better but more than I needed. She was doing great art using only a mouse before. This was an improvement. If you're looking for professional equipment look to spend more than triple what this item costs. If you're a pro you wouldn't want to be "penny wise and dollar dumb" anyway and you'd go with the Wacom. I'm not a pro and I was able to use it to make decent hand drawn art. It has the ability to be used with more advanced CAD programs but I don't have the time for the learning curve for these as I'm not doing anything like that for a living. If you just want to try delving into graphic arts this tablet is inexpensive and advanced enough for the casual user. When/if she gets more advanced in graphic art I will buy a more advanced tablet for her. She's now 13 and this tablet still hasn't had all it's potential tapped. It still works fine. TIP: Take the battery out of the pen after each use or it will drain the battery just sitting there. I recommend it.

I have just received my hyper pen 8000 and used it only once. I have read the other reviews and I am skeptical of its performance. However, I also realize the amount of money I spent on this tablet is 5 times cheaper than the Wacom I wanted. Being a college student in Game Art and product design, it was time for me to upgrade from my standard mouse. I have had Wacom readily available to me when I was attending an actual campus. Now that I attend school from home (online) I have to be more resourceful. I still need the tools required by the industry but the only difference is I pay for them out of pocket. This tablet fits the bill for me. Yes there are problems (the cursor and pressure sensitivity do unusual things) but compared to using my cordless mouse it still works. I don't use the mouse that came with the pad (I already own one) and the software bundle is still in its packaging (I own all the Adobe programs). So, some of the issues others are experiencing don't apply to me. I can say I have used a Wacom pad for over two years, so I know what to expect. The Aiptek is a nice alternative to those who need to get their feet wet. This is just something to hold you over until you can afford an updated model. You just have to live with its faults. Don't expect more and you won't be disappointed. (REVIEW UPDATE) I reviewed this product several months ago and although it was nice while it lasted I am disappointed to say it died around two months ago. Being that the producted only lasted about a year it may still be of use for those seeking a temporary fix. However, keep in mind I only used the tablet no more than a dozen times and always stored it in its box. Those who draw often may want to pass. I now own a WACOM which I too purchased from Amazon. It looks two times better, has a solid build, and more degrees of sensitivity. I would highly recommend saving your $80 and putting it towards an entry level WACOM pad. The AIPTEK began having issues with its drivers at first. My computer would not recognize it even after using the manufacturer provided drivers. I finally found drivers that worked after digging on the internet. Eventually, I found there were dead spots on the drawing surface that would not pick up the pen input at all. Then the cursor would move around sporadically even when the pen was not pressing the pad. I had to toss it once it stopped working completely.

My company bought this tablet for me about 6-8 months ago. I have tried using it over and over, but the control is horrible. Not only will the mouse and pen drain battery life incredibly fast, but you get very poor response from the pen. The pen frequently "jumps" and "jitters." I could be working in Illustrator CS2, or Freehand MX, drawing a continuous line and the pen would jump to the upper left hand corner of the screen, randomly. When and if you ever got a pen line completed, you have to go back with the mouse and clean it up. Kind of defeats the purpose in my opinion. There is no way you could ever possibly get work done with it.

You definitely get what you pay for. Today, I finally went to the store and bought just a 4x5 Wacom Graphire4 and the quality and response is incredible. Please take my advice and buy a Wacom Graphire4, or spend a little more for Wacom Graphire4 6x8.

I got a refurb model for cheap, so my experience may not be representative to those who're buying new Aipteks, but by far the worst problem I've had with my Hyperpen- worse than the flimsy-feeling pen and mouse, worse than the useless software, worse than the driver that doesn't work until you hunt down one well-hidden update that is not, as I recall, even on the Aiptek site- is the cursor shake. There's really not much reason to buy a tablet other than the cool pressure settings, and it seems like the Hyperpen has exactly three of those- 'very very light', 'full pressure', and 'shake like a spastic orangutan on amphetamines'. The cursor is largely uncontrollable over the entire middle band of its pressure spectrum, which pretty seriously limits the use of the pen. I can still get some good out of it, and it's handy enough to deserve at least two stars, but due to its incessant twitching and the impossibility of taking full advantage of the pressure tip the Hyperpen is not of use for most of the things tablets are supposed to be best at.

hey..the software that comes with it is garbage..but I wasn't planning on using any of it anyway. I bought this mainly because using a mouse to draw in photoshop and other programs was to time consuming and i needed something more natural, and this does the job. It is a very nice case - good quality leather with easy open/close features. The only problem is that the case surrounding the iPhone is too soft and after a few weeks flexes so that it is inconvenient to use the keys at the edge of the screen. Also it lacks a camera lens cut out. If they could have made the case with a firmer frame around the phone (and lens cutout) it would be very hard to beat.

This is the absolute most disappointing purchase I have ever made. Dane-Elec does NOT care about its customers. I will NEVER purchase anything from this company or its subsidiaries again. The pen did not work as expected. The 'software' on the USB did not load to convert any handwritten pages to text. I tried everything except showing up at the manufacturer of the Z-pen to get assistance or have a new pen shipped. I emailed the company, I called any number I could find and tryed to work with the technical support link on their website but to no avail. NO ONE EVER responded to me at all. This is the most expensive 'regular' pen I have ever purchased. I could have just bought a pack of BIC pens and saved the other $107 for something worthwhile. Dane-Elec you should be out of business by year end 2009 with the way you treat/ignore your customers.

I was skeptical about the ability of the ZPen to work on regular paper and I have been pleasantly surprised. I am an engineer working in the construction field and it has done everything I wanted it to do and more.

Now I can create a sketch of a job site condition on the fly and email it to a client without having to scan it first and without ever having to make a paper copy for my records. The included software can save your notes as PDF files for easy exchange with others. Great product.

A great beginners tablet with mouse, but the bonus software is no bonus, that is assuming that while looking for a tablet you already had something more than outdated photo editing software. However I didn't buy the tablet for the software. What I wanted was the ability to draw with a pen, mainly for drawing out shapes in Photoshop and using the pen capabilities in some other graphics programs.

I also wanted what is essentially a cordless mouse. This is where it loses one star. For the most part the mouse works like any other mouse and although it is technically cordless, the pad, or the area on the pad that maps the mouse to your monitor is stationary. Which I knew that to begin with but what I didn't know was that unlike the pen's tip, the mouse has to travel to about its center before reaching the edge of the screen. Now I do have a regular 19" monitor and the tablet is shaped more like a wide screen, which is most likely why it behaves this way.

The bottom line, for me, is the Bamboo Fun is everything I expected it to be and I would recommend this to someone that wants a reliable, durable, easy to use, colorful, pen and mouse graphics tablet. Even if I could afford the Wacom Intuos professional tablet I would keep my Blue Bamboo Fun for my laptop.

Changed my mind. One little quirk with the mouse does not deserve a one star drop in my rating. So my official score is 4.75 out of 5.

I do a lot of photography and the pen is very helpful in editing the photos, such as being able to pinpoint a very small area of the photo to work on. The one down side is both the pen and mouse have to be on the pad in the same relationship as the area you are working on. (If you're working on the upper left corner, the pen and/or mouse need to be in the upper left corner.)

I have a small desk and need to move the pad towards me and push the keyboard back.

That's really the only downside. There is a learning curve with the pen, but after a little practice, it's pretty easy.

I received this portable DVD player as a present from my parents. It was a great gift for the whole family, especially my 2 and 3 year olds. I love it and it works great.

The screens are made to hang on the back of the headrests of the front of car seats but we installed ours in a four door truck which doesn't have the type of seats with a separated headrest. We ended up having to criss-cross the straps to hang the screens on the back of the seats but that ended up working just fine.

Some have mentioned whether the quality was as good on the second screen, I have noticed that the sound seems to not be quite as loud on the second unit but that hasn't been a problem because both screens' volume adjusts individually and I just turn the second one up a little.

For those that are not familiar with the basic operations: one screen is the player where the DVD is actually inserted and the other is just a monitor, the two screens are connected to each other by cords and they play the same thing at the same time. You can hook them up inside a car with the car adaptor cord or into a wall outlet with AC/DC adaptor.

I'm not techy at all and I figured out how to operate and install within just minutes so operation and set-up is a breeze.

The only inconvenience on long trips is that to switch DVDs, you must remove the player from its pouch, disconnect the wires, switch the Dvds then reinsert in case and reattach the wires. It's not really a problem on short trips but if you're traveling for longer, then you will have to pullover to change out DVDs. But I think that would be the case with any of these portable DVD players.

This set comes with head phones, which we don't use for safety reasons with small children. It also comes with a remote, car adaptor cord, two AC/DC adaptors, and audio and video cables. It also plays CDs for audio listening and jpeg files but I've only used with DVDs.

It's been really great to use and I'm so thankful for it. I recommend to others, just wish they had stuff like this around when I was a kid.

I purchased this product for my 1 and 4 year old. We were taking a 6 hour drive and I knew nothing else would keep them entertained! The dual screen was perfect because the kids face different ways in their seats. The only thing that was a bit inconvenient was changing the DVD. The one unit that has the DVD in it is all one piece, you have to lift the screen to get to the DVD compartment. The unit was in a pouch like holder on the back of the seat and in order to take it out, you had to unplug all the connections. Other than that, it works like a champ!

I was quite surprised how it performs on a netbook! I use my netbook for client presentations and on the fly artwork editing as it is easier to carry than any traditional laptop. I have a 9x12 at work and a 6x11 at home. I'm greatly pleased with both my Intuos 3 Wacoms and, just out of curiousity, tried them on my 10" AOD 150. I have Photoshop CS3 installed on my netbook (as it is the most optimized PS version there ever was), installed the latest wacom drivers and plugged it in expecting software hiccups. To my surprise it worked pretty well! And, the aspect ratio of the 6x11 tablet to the netbook is near perfect! I'm convinced on getting the 4x6 to accompany my netbook now. I love the intuos line of tablets. I guess after that, I'll try my hands on the Cintiq (if I have the guts and cash to buy it). =)

"Great, Except When It's Not" 2009-04-14

I recently picked this up when its 10-year-old predecessor finally wouldn't work any more (it was a serial port version that couldn't successfully make the transition to the USB world any more, even with an adapter). The first thing that impressed me about the new one was how smooth and slick the movement was, and how fluid the curves. This tablet actually performed as the previous one advertised, and I loved it!

At first.

However, this tablet does have one major problem: the scroll sliders. These are a pair of touchpads on either side which, if they get bumped just a certain way, go nuts and start scrolling incessantly and do not stop until either a) you disable them, or b) you manage to reboot your computer even though every menu is scrolling up and down like crazy.

This was easy enough to fix, by simply disabling the scroll sliders. But it was a pretty big bug in what is otherwise a very nice package. Once that's fixed, the tablet is very good.

I have problems and pain in my wrists, forearms, hands & shoulders. I've also had a couple of unsuccessful operations done... I'v tried using different kinds of mouse devices, after carefully considering them using the reviews found on amazon and LOADS of other sites.

Most reviews doesn't necessarily address use of device with/for people with hand problems. After wasting loads of money on all kinds of devices, I decided to buy the Wacom Intous3 6x11". I can truly say that my editing work in Photoshop CS3 and just general tasks perfomed in and around Windows is one GREAT pleasure!

The quality and built of this product is top notch! The buttons are programmable for different programs, as are the slide strips! I've programmed them all for the most often used commands in Photoshop and absolutely LOVE it. Saving me lots of time and effort. The active area can also be decided which is great. Rather have the BIG one and redifine the active area for a 'smaller' tablet... for a specific program bla bla bla.

So if you are suffering from Carpal tunnel or De Quervain's disease (my specific problem), or I think ANY other pain in your arms/shoulders/elbows, this is definitely the way to go! Do remember though to take ENOUGH rest breaks in between. I bought a software program that stops you every now and then to take proper rest breaks, and ALSO give you some stretches to do!

Take GREAT care of your hands! They are the ONLY pair that you'll EVER have!!! And get a program as I've mentioned above even if you DON'T have any problems. PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE... (ask me...)

"Archos products just don't deliver" 2009-06-01

Web/TV Product code does not work so unable to download, complained to Archos and told-have to pay again. "Once code is used cannot replace it, and as it didn't work-tough!" Spent over three months trying without success to get the DVR Station to work. Unable to record from TV, although the system goes through the motions when you try to open the recorded file to view, you receive an error message stating "damaged and incomplete file". Had daily contact with technical support but still no joy. When playing a video via the internet sometimes you get a blank space with a Flash 9 jpg. The Archos 7/Opera is supposed to support Flash 9-but it doesn't work on many Flash 9 websites so beware.

My advice to any would be purchaser is don't buy an Archos unless you

a) Want a heart attack from the frustration or b) Like throwing over £300 down the drain. Archos products are certainly not worth the money. An expensive piece of junk.

I am really disappointed that I had to award it even one star. It really gets no stars from me. A lovely looking piece of equipment that certainly just doesn't deliver. DO NOT BUY.

I will NEVER buy another Archos product AGAIN-they are rubbish. Don't you our you'll end up wasting money and tearing your hair out with frustration. You have BEEN warned.

I also own a 605 and a Zune for the same puposes and prefer both for these tasks since they are less cumbersome but neither has the large screen of the Archos 7. The DVR station is highly improved in connectivity over the 605 DVR. This is a major advantage of the Archos 7 over competitors. If your interests are music and photos, buy the less expensive 605. If you want to record via your HDTV, buy the Archos 7 with the DVR.

"Terrible Customer Service" 2009-04-30

The ARCHOS 7 is great if it works, However the ARCHOS customer service is the worst i have ever encountered. I had my unit for 45 days sent the unit in because it didn't work. 2 1/2 months later and I am still waiting on my ARCHOS 7. Most of the people in customer service are very rude and could care less about the customer. This experience has been so bad that I will never purchase a product from this company again.

This is my first review on Amazon; I hope it helps some people out.

For those looking for the short and sweet version, here it is...The Archos 7 is a fantastic mp3 player and a terrible Internet tablet.

Before I get into the more in-depth portion of my review, I should say that I purchased this product to upgrade from my Nokia N810. I really liked the N810, I liked the OS, and I did not like the small storage space. I thought the Archos 7 was a great solution; the specs are ideal--large hard drive and a seven inch screen.

What is good about this device: I am really happy with the music player and video player. I uploaded my music library via the USB cable and was able to create playlists easily and search my music without a problem. The video player is great as well. I rented a movie through CinemaNow, watched it just fine, and my own videos played perfectly.

I am not really interested in TV, so I did not really look at the WebTV component and have no need for the DVR functionality. So, I cannot give any informed opinion on those. It also seems to have built in UPnP support, but I have not explored it in depth.

What is not so good about this device: Plain and simple, the operating system is extremely limited and does not provide basic functionality a user would want or even need. The desktop is not customizable in the least. You cannot remove unwanted icons, setting your own wallpaper does not let you scale, center, tile, or stretch the image. Even though the picture viewer allows you to view images as you like--and they do look great, when you select "Set as Wallpaper", it stretches the image to fit the resolution or cuts it off to fit the screen. You have no control of this.

So, I had to take the time to make my image into an 800x600 background. This irks me; this should be a basic operation for any internet tablet.

Furthermore, the ability to multitask is restricted. You can start the music player and then access the internet, but if you want to go back to the player, it closes the web browser. In fact, there is very little ability to switch between tasks. There is no minimization of windows.

The web browser leaves a lot to be desired. You are not always connected to your preferred Wifi spot, it disconnects after a period of inactivity. So, it takes longer for the browser to open because it has to reconnect first. The flash plugin works for youtube, but other sites are not as fortunate. For instance Hulu.com does not work on the device. There is no way to copy and paste in the browser. The onscreen keyboard sometime covers up the textbox you are trying to enter information in. And you only can have five tabs open at a time.

The PDF viewer is slow, and trying to listen to music while reading PDFs can cause the system to freeze. Perhaps this will be addressed in future OS updates. It should also be noted, you cannot play any DVD ripped to an ISO, natively or by the cinema plugin that can be purchased. You need to convert them to a support format.

Conclusion: Really, this cannot be called an internet tablet. This is a media player that has a web browser. Archos is developing a device that utilizes Android; I hope this will be an improvement from their in-house dilapidated excuse for an OS. However, I have my doubts. If you can, I would recommend waiting until this new Android powered device hits the markets and is reviewed. Otherwise, you are really paying for a 320 Gig mp3 and video player. The Archos gets a rating of 3 in my mind, 5 for the media aspects and 1 for the internet tablet "aspects". Thanks for reading.

I own a 604 which I purchased a few years ago and have loved it.

For the archos 7:

The good-

1. Video: Larger screen, amazing quality of movies

2. Audio: still very good

3. Battery is not internal (like the 5), so if it locks up, you can take it off briefly. Also on long trip you can bring along a fully charged spare.

4. Internet: love listening to internet radio while browsing the web.

5. Internet radio - love it. You can also select your own stations using shoutcast website. Other sites like last.fm do not work.

The not so good-

1. Internet: Flash 10 support does not exist so sites like Hulu will not work for movie streaming. Some flash does not work and website will have blank sections.

2. Internet TV: some links are dead and I do not see a way to update or fix these. Some working sites do not have updated or much content. So, I stopped using this feature.

3. Internet radio: have not seen a way to change the links for the preset stations. Glad shoutcast works.

4. TV snap on, although previously advertised for the 7, has yet to exist.

5. Plug ins cost extra money, esp if you want to view your dvd movies on the archos.

6. GPS, does not exist yet for the 7.

7. Basically you can only install the limited software that Archos will let you. Compare this to a netbook with windows - you have much greater options for software to purchase and install.

Overall, I am fortunate that I bought the archos 7 for what it does very well. The other features I listed as good are special surprises for me coming from the 604. For that, I give it high marks. If you need a perfect Internet experience or want more flexibility choosing applications you want to install&run, you are better off with a standard windows netbook which is also cheaper (Archos 7 retails for $450 on Archos website). If you want an amazing portable movie/music player with some internet features, you will like the archos 7.

I purchased this archos after my ipod touch was stolen. I wanted something that had internet access, had plenty of storage, and was a touch screen. after some research the archos seemed pretty cool. when I got it I was a little disappointed at the size and weight. be reminded this is a media tablet, not just an mp3 player. you cant just slip it into your pocket and go. it weighs about a pound. maybe a little more. the touch screen is great. although you have to press a little harder than the ipod touch. the screen quality is amazing! the downsides? you have to buy EVERYTHING! without purchasing the DVR station, the games that It allows on there, and some of the other plug ins, all you have basically is an ipod touch. so make sure you have extra money to purchase the DVR station ( if you want lIVE tv recorded onto your archos!, although it costs money to keep the tv on the archos) and some of the subscriptions to the things that are on your archos that you have to pay for. other than that, its a pretty cool device, and I would reccomend it to most people over an ipod!

I am very disappointed with Archos customer support. My Archos became unusable after Digital TV Transition in the U.S. on June 12, 2009. When attempted to record TV shows from Direct TV onto my Archos. The sound became staticky. I make sure I downloaded the latest firmware and still couldn't get it to work again. I called and email Archos customer support multiple times but their staffs are not knowledge about product. All the questions asked they have gave me incorrect answers. They are only good for taking your information if you have to file an RMA. In addition, don't expect the TV Guide that comes with your docking DVR adapter to work. Archos customer service told me it hasn't been working for the last 3 months because they can't afford a new server.

This is a terrible experience; I wasted $400 for a piece of junk.

I purchased this product and when I received it, it took me less than a day to realize that I had just paid nearly $300 for a big advertisement. I promptly returned the item.

The product comes with very basic capabilities out of the box. It can play non MPEG and non HD videos and MP3s. You can browse the internet but only after you register your product (why is this?). There are no flash apps or anything that come with it. Just about every menu item takes you to a video for an advertisement to buy the plug-in or attachment.

If you want it as an MP3 player, it will do that no problem. It's just overpriced. However, if you want to enable all the features that it is advertised to have, be prepared to shell out significant amounts of money. The Cinema plug-in is $20, the HD plug-in is another $20. Attachments and docking stations vary a lot in price.

WiFi on this product is weak. It has trouble seeing and staying attached to signals. I have a 6 year old PDA which can see signals that are farther away and connect to them no problem (Archos 5 did not even see some signals which are close).

The screen is great. An 800x600 screen at this size produces great resolution. Also, it is relatively brigh and the image is visible even on a sunny day while in a shade (but not under direct sunlight). Touchscreen is responsive and accurate but can sometimes "stick". For example, when you are scrolling through a list by dragging the list up and down, it may sometimes think you are selecting an item instead of scrolling.

Web browsing should be better for a product with the name Internet Tablet. Flash web pages don't display properly without the flash plug-in which incidentally you have to purchase!!! Most static pages are fine.

I didn't do very much sound testing but I suppose it sounds OK for a device this size. I have seen other brand name mp3 players which sound worse. The little speaker on the device is good enough for watching online TV which by the way is one of the few things included and you don't have to purchase separately.

I returned the item because I thought that a device with this price range should be all inclusive and not a-la-carte like they chose to offer it. I thought I was buying a lot more than came in the package. This item has all its capabilities crippled by design so you can buy the functionality separately.

I have purchased from Archos in the past and I have been relatively satisfied by the perfomance of their products. However, Archos 5 is a big disapointment. I think they chose to be greedy and offer their product crippled and you have to buy the functionality separately. Common bait and switch. I gave 3 stars only because of the capabilites of the unit. If I was to be brutally honest this product deserves no more than 1 star for what you get out of the box.

I have wanted a Wacom tablet for a long, long time. The Bamboo Fun is a great tablet and I'm having fun learning how to use it. Overall I am very pleased with this tablet.

Drawing on it feels very natural. With the spring-loaded nib in place, the pen feels like sketching on something between pane of glass and dry-erase board. Very different from pencil and paper, and even non-display Wacom tablet, but getting used to this is a matter of seconds.

It is small and light enough to be held in one's lap or rested on a stack of books, just like a real sketchbook. This without sacrificing screen size terribly. Even though I am used to a 12x18" Intuos2, this screen is large enough.. for anyone curious, the exact usable display dimentions are 12 by 16 centimeters, or 6 3/8 by 10 1/4 inches.

Those five-buttons-and-a-scrollbar on either side of display are independently mapped, so the left are good for application-specific commands while drawing with the right hand, and the right for Windows tasks. Particularly useful is a function that toggles pen mapping between tablet only, and entire display area including main monitor. This is very good for performing quick tasks in Windows without having to set the tablet down, or expanding work area by placing palettes on another display.

But the thing does have some very glaring flaws.

Only two calibration points is just not enough. Since I'm used to a non-display tablet, my eyes track the cursor rather than pen tip, and a good thing! Calibration points are on the upper left and lower right of display. In the lower left and upper right, inaccuracy can be as high as 3-4mm. Drawing with precision near the edges of the screen, say within 10mm of the bottom edge, is impossible.

The scrollbars on the sides of display lack sensitivity/speed adjustment, somewhat limiting their usefulness.

The included Grip Pen is awful. Thick and uncomfortable, with grip of some kind of tacky rubber that instantly attracted every bit of dust in my house, it feels like Baby's First Writing Utensil. New pen from Wacom: $50.

Finally.. Photoshop Elements? Really? Anyone willing to drop a neat thousand dollars on a tablet will probably already own the full version. Same goes for Painter, for those of a more painterly bent.

I've been using an intuos tablet for years. I've always wanted a Cintiq but they were simply too large and lacked the portability I need. I work exclusively on a laptop and I need a tablet that I can easily bring to a coffee shop with me. This tablet is perfect! Don't be mislead by 12" though. It is much larger. It's about the size of a 17" laptop, but still definitely portable, especially when compared to the larger alternatives.

I've owned Wacom tablets for many years, and I've generally found them handy for basic level Photoshop work. For more complex work such as sketching and digital painting, I always had a hard time getting over the disconnect between the tablet and the screen.

The Cintiq, quite simply, is a revelation for me. Sketching and painting is completely immersive and intuitve. Several times I've actually tried to smudge a pencil stroke with my finger, or wipe away imagined eraser dust. Simply put, there's no way I can ever go back to my old Wacom Tablet.

That said, this definately feels like a first generation product. It lacks portability. It would be much better if the calibration was quicker and easier to access since if you reposition yourself you'll also need to adjust the calibration to line up your new viewpoint. I am constantly zooming in and out accidentally because I tend to hold the tablet on the edge with the scroller bar (I have to break this habit).

I have also had a mysterious error related to the color profile in Vista 64 for which Wacom has no solution but might also be unique to my system. I ended up just discarding the profile and calibrating by eye.

And, yeah, the price tag is steep.

But, darn it, I love this thing. If you're a working artist or designer, it's certainly something to consider unless you're already perfectly comfortable with your existing Wacom tablet. If you're a hobbyist it's a bit of a harder sell because of the pricepoint.

Frankly, Wacom tablets have always seemed a bit finiky to me, and this one doesn't change that. However, the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages for me. This is the most exciting computer product I've purchased in maybe the last 15 years.

I am a digitail painter and comic artist so i was extremely excited to buy this. I've owned it for a few months now and technilogically speaking there is no fault in the product. It works like a charm. The side buttons that you can program with general and software specific commands. That and the direct screen work space, have boosted my productivity greatly. HOWEVER, i was greatly dissapointed at the screen brightness and screen resolution. Being in the art field, which is why most of you will buy this, those two dissapointments are HUGE to me. but i do say that it is STILL worth the money, my fiance threw a fit when i told her how much it was but i'm glad i bought it.
